![]() Because of this, we have decided to include the ability to allow the user to remove this software from their computer. In our testing, we found that Symantec locked the regular user out of their Mac and when they called their account manager, they were told that it was a Mac virus. However, it seems that Symantec wants to do everything they can in order to lock people out of their software. Normally, MacKeeper's version of the app would not even be a problem. This was obviously an anomoly, but it meant that I needed to have the access to change the setting and there was no record of a mistake by the user. Once I determined that the issue was that he was typing the wrong password in the software, I had to go into the path of least resistance and just override the user's setting. I had to break down and watch his mouse and keyboard to see if he kept hitting any of the shortcuts, both in the Avast control panel and in the Avast desktop. I had a client that had a consistent problem with this software where the user would be locked out of the Avast desktop even though they knew the password. They are no longer in the business of selling software anymore. ![]() The second reason is that Symantec is about to make a profit from the software because they will sell you new versions of the software for years to come as the company grows. The first is that, with the release of the MacKeeper v3, Symantec has been forced to either release a new version of their software or they face legal action. Symantec is currently in the process of discontinuing the legacy protection suite and we believe that they are doing this for two reasons. It does not seem to be nearly as well known as Avast is. Symantec Endpoint Protection is a legacy software suite that has been around for quite some time. MacKeeper does offer that option, and it is described in this video tutorial. ![]() The only real difference is that Symantec does not offer a version that runs in the background, without a panel on the screen, and the app is locked and cannot be removed using the App Store. Symantec Endpoint Protection is very similar to MacKeeper. Symantec Endpoint Protection Uninstall Password Crack ~REPACK~ ![]()
